Plato is a student-centred toolset which helps students gain a better understanding of their module content and make better use of the materials already available in their course. It supports instant Q&A within module context, source checking, revision material generation and ongoing study support.

Plato also helps staff understand how students are engaging with module content, which topics are appearing most often, and where further support may be useful.

Who are these docs for?

These docs are split into two sections.

The Students section explains how to ask questions, check sources, create revision materials and make use of saved content. The Staff section explains how Plato supports teaching, what students can do in the platform, and what information staff can see.

How does Plato work?

Plato integrates with the VLE and uses published module content to provide contextualised responses. This allows students to ask module-specific questions, revisit teaching materials and generate revision resources directly from the content in their course.
